This movie is such a waste of Lena's talent. For one thing she's not in it much at all which may not be such a bad thing - at least she can't be blamed for the failure of the film. Another thing, it's kind of embarrassingly campy.
Here's a very intriguing observation by fellow Lena fan, Karren:
Karren, that scene would have rocked! What a missed opportunity.
The dvd has some extra features, but Lena's not in many if any of them either. She's barely in the movie at all. In fact if you're interested in fast-forwarding to her parts, here ya go:
0:13 She first appears very briefly.
"What's interesting about "Queen of the Damned" was that in the book, which
I really loved, Jesse (the lead girl) is made a vampire by her aunt,
Marahket (Played in the movie by Lena), NOT Lestat (Stuart Townsend). It
was actually an incredibly erotic love scene in the book. Interesting they
copped out and had Lestat make her a vampire instead....
Think of what kind of scene that would have been with Lena Olin!"
1:07 appears again for a second.
1:17 a 2 minute appearance.
1:21 the big finale, her longest screentime.
